Year 6s Visit Dalat

VISITING DALAT!

All of Year 6 visited one of the other local private schools… Dalat!
Many interesting things but the main attraction certainly was two presentations of science. Wow! A few highlights involved receiving tours from the students and having a school lunch with the children. The first science presentation was about learning about liquid nitrogen and some of its features. And the second presentation was when we watched ice cream being with the liquid nitrogen and eating it. It was SUPER sugary and sweet! Dozens of SCIPS children were disappointed to leave Dalat and had a blast! Surely it made the school’s day!
Thanks to all those teachers who took us.

We are very proud of our Prefects, House Captains and Librarians...Well Done!

FOBISSEA LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE 2013

On the 27th of October, the prefects, house captains and student librarians went to the RASA SAYANG HOTEL with Mr. Martin. They had a great time doing fun leadership activities with Mr. Eric and Mr. Aiden. Almost 150 head teachers (imagine 150 Mr. Jones! J) came to the conference and when we were all waiting for Mr. Martin to find out where we were going, all of us stood in a straight line and whenever a head teacher passed by, we greeted them and said “Hello!” or “Good morning!” So It was PRETTY AwKwArD. but fun. After the conference, we all had a FAB lunch (it was BUFFET LUNCH OMG OMG OMG!!! J ) There was even an ICE CREAM STATION, with free candies and marshmallows and ahh... it was HEAVEN! We all had great fun and thank you to all the teachers that participated, especially Mr. Martin for his commitment to us!!

A scary story! Read if you dare...

In celebration of Halloween, we have shared a story on our blog for you today. We hope it scares you!

Bloody Mary. . .
(Comment a scary story if you happen to know one!)

She lived deep in the forest in a tiny cottage and sold herbal remedies for a living. Folks living in the town nearby called her Bloody Mary, and said she was a witch. None dared cross the old crone for fear that their cows would go dry, their food-stores rot away before winter, their children take sick of fever, or any number of terrible things that an angry witch could do to her neighbors.

Then the little girls in the village began to disappear, one by one. No one could find out where they had gone! Grief-stricken families searched the woods, the local buildings, and all the houses and barns, but there was no sign of the missing girls. A few brave souls even went to Bloody Mary's home in the woods to see if the witch had taken the girls, but she denied any knowledge of the disappearances. Still, it was noted that her hideous appearance had changed. She looked younger, more attractive. The neighbors were suspicious, but they could find no proof that the witch had taken their young ones.
