Butterfly Farm

Entry point for their science topic: Life-Cycles)
Over the past few
weeks, Year 5 visited the Butterfly Farm in Teluk Bahang. They started off the
trip with a fun education programme, called Incredi-Bugs, where the children
and adults could learn about insects and their life-cycles. The best part was
when they got to hold the insects that varied from stick insects, leaf insects
and a dead leaf praying mantis. Some of them even dared to put their hands in a
container full of meal worms. After the interesting presentation, everyone
enjoyed an hour of exploring the butterfly garden and indoor exhibit. Later
they headed towards the gift shop; passing through an exhibit of amazing bugs
and amphibians.
Overall, it was a
lovely experience for all the children, including the teachers and parents.
